A Winter's Kiss

Well it is Saturday again and time for this week's Less is More challenge which is a Recipe 'Pick A Square'. I have chosen to go for the centre and used my Marianne Creatable 'Snowflake Die'. I have stuck it down with sticky paps to make it stand out on the card and have added some 'Icicle' Stickles. In the centre I have put a white card candy with a litte bit of Stickles on that too. I printed the sentiment from the PC directly onto the base card. Not sure if the sentiment should have been a bit bigger!!! If you have not tried these challenges get over to the Less is More blog and see what Mandi & Chrissie have for us each week. It's great fun and gets you thinking. I look forward to Saturday mornings to see what they have in store for us.

Embossing

Oh!!!! Mandi & Chrissie really got me going this week on the one layer challenge for embossing over at Less is More this week. I could not get my head round this and still not sure about this entry. I used a Crafts Too embossing tree folder and I have coloured the raised areas with Promarkers and add Anita's 3d Gloss to make it stand out. I have stamped the little rabbit from Stampin Up and heat embossed him with black embossing powder. Not sure about a sentiment for this one. I will have to give it more thought. Must try this one again. LOL!!!

Thanks

I am cutting it a bit fine this week with my entry for the Less is More Challenge but hate to miss any entry as I love doing this type of card. It gets the grey matters in my brain moving!!!
Anyway here it is. The Challenge was a Thank you or Congratulations so I chose Thank You. I have used a white base card with an embossed die cut from Joy Crafts. This is the first time I have used this and I am pleased with the cut and the embossing.

Birthday Boy - Winner At Karen's Doodles

Well I have at last managed to get some crafting done. Being back to work, after my surgery last year, does not leave much time for crafting and my love of lawn bowls. The weather has been really good lately so the bowling seems to come first. Anyway back to crafting. I have made this cute easel card with an image called ' Peekaboo Boy' from Karens Doodles. You can get this image here. I have coloured him with Promarkers and layered him onto a square doilly. The base card is blue with spotty backing paper from Dovecraft 'Back to Basic' pad. I have added a blue wavy peel-off round the edge of the main part of the card and used some white card candy, which I have coloured with Promarkers, and added them to the corners. The sentiment was printed from the PC and I have added some gems and a bow to finish off.

My Buys

I had a lovely time at the Sincerely Yours show at Ratho yesterday and this is all my goodies tha jumped into my shopping bag. Not had any time to play yet but looking forward to getting my paws into them. Met up with Joyce and her friends and several other crafters that I know. Everyone seemed to have had a great day but did not meet up with any other docrafters as planned - we need to get better organised next year. Name tags or badges maybe. Had a good time anyway and pleased with my purchases.
