Merry Christmas Daughter

I bought this printed card at the SSEC this year.  The sentiment is printed from the PC and layered onto red glitter card. The card candy is from my stash and the red snowflakes came from a swap I had done.  The letters are cut with the X-cut Impress machine in red glitter card as well.

Grand-daughter Christmas

I was asked to make a card for a 16 year old and I toyed with this card for ages.  I have used a red base card and added border embossing folder down the edges.  I printed the image from Debbi Moore Funky Divas CD and layered it onto silver mirror card. I printed the sentiment from Hallmark Studios and layered it onto silver mirror card cut with nesties.  The Holly leaves are punched and embossed with an X-cut Punch.  I have added some peel off baubles and a Dovecraft Glittered Ribbon.  I hope this fits the challenge over at Less is More which is Polka Dots.  I hope my ribbon with the spots on it and the berries on my embossed edges will be seen as Polka Dots.  LOL!!  Thanks for your comments and I think I got carried away and forgot it is meant to be CLEAN & SIMPLE!!!  Sorry about that folks.  LOL!!!

Cocktails

It's a coctail theme over at Less is More this week so I have dedcided to use this little embossing folder with the two glasses on it.  I inked up the bows on the folder with my Promarkers so that only the bows would come out coloured.  I layered them onto some deep pink card.  I printed the sentiment from the pc and cut the shapes with Labels4 Nesties. The ribbon is from the Fizzy Moon range and I made the bow with my bowmaker.  There is still plenty of white space so I hope this is okay for this challenge.

All the images are from Debbie Moore Cd that came free with the lastest Magazine.  I have used a silver pearlescent card as the base and used my Hougie Board for the layout.  I have added some gold peel - offs just to finish it off.

Hearts

I missed the Less is More challenge last week as I am still having problems with my PC.  I am using my laptop and I am missing my PC so much.  Anyway I thought I would give this weeks challenge a go.  I have used a plain red card that has a white back to it.  The hearts were punched out with a Martha Stewart Lace Heart Punch and the sentiment is a stamp I found in my stash.  I added a little pearl heart just to finish it off.  I hope this is okay for the challenge.

Hougie Wedding Card

Not been on for a while as my PC is in the hospital.  All my programmes are on that so I am having to download some free programmes to get me going on my laptop.  Well I made this wedding card with my Hougie board.  I am slowly getting to grips with this board but it is taking me ages.  I am trying to follow the instructions in the Hougie booklet just to get some practice.  I have used a lemon pearlescent card for this and cut the borders with Martha Stewart Lace Heart Punch using pearlescent paper. I printed the sentiment from the PC directly onto pearlescent paper and layered onto silver mirror card. I cut the shapes out with my.  Nesties Labels 4.  The Bows and Card Candy are from my stash. The flower is handmade my Lee [aka KitchenGodess] from the docrafts forum and you should check out her blog and all her handmade flowers at :-  www.craftyloops.blogspot.com

Less Is More Sketch

Well over at Less is More this week Chrissie & Mandi have set us a sketch to follow.  I have use a cream pearlescent card and added the sentiment direct onto the card from my PC.  I think the sentiment could have been a bit bigger though!!  The image is from Habico and I have stamped and layered it onto cream and silver pearlescnet card.  I decided not to put any colour on the image as I think it is okay as it is.

Less Is More 1000 Challenge

Well this is my 3rd card for the Less is More 1000 Challenge.  The flower was handmade by Lee [aka KitchenGodess on Docrafts or Lee from A Wee Bit of CraftyLoops].  She calls this flower a 'Large Floating Meringue' and it is absolutely stunning.  The sentiment is printed directly onto my white base card.  I hope it is okay for this challenge.

Stepped Card

This is my first stepper card made with my Hougie Board.  All the papers and toppers are from the Debbi Moore Issue 5 Magazine.  I am pleased with the way it turned out after about 4 attemps with the board. Here is a side view version as well.  Please let me know what you think.

I have added a layer of gold matt card behind the hearts.  The sentiment is from Country Companions Lovers Lane set and I have stamped that with a gold ink pad.  The ribbon is from my stash and I made the bow with my bowmaker.  I hope this is not too much for a CAS challenge.

Great-Grandaughters 1st Christmas

I have had this pink snowflake card in my stash for years!!!!.  Really must use up my stash more.  The image is a freebie from this month's Papercraft Essentials magazine and I have coloured it with Promarkers. I have layered into a pale pink shimmer paper and cut with nesties. The sentiment was printed on the PC and I have cut around it with scissors. The branches are punched from a Nellie Snellen Punch. The flowers and ribbon are both from my stash. As I have used all different shades of Pink I am entering this into -

Seeing Double 2nd Entry

Well this is my second entry for the Less is More Challenge.  The stamp is from Stampin Up and I stamped it in silver and then in black.  I added the green at the bottom of the trees with green ink pad and a paint brush. The Butterflies and sentiment are from a Penny Black Collection 'Teddy & Co'.  Not really keen on this one but I think it fits the challenge.

Seeing Double Take Two

Well for the Less is More Challenge this week I used this stamp to make my card but have to own up to making a mess the first time round as I smudged the ink.  I turned it over and made my card for the challenge as you can see in my earlier post.   I then cut it up to make a topper for this card.  I layered it onto some mirror card and then added it to an embossed A5 card.  I added some peel off corners and some silver card candy to finish it off.  I think this is better than wasting my original card - don't you?

Seeing Double

Over at 'Less is More' this week the challenge is 'One Layer - Seeing Double'  I have used a base white card with a stamp that has not seen daylight for a while.  I have stamped it twice and coloured it with Promarkers. The Sentiment is a stamp that has a flower at the start but I masked it out so that only the sentiment shows up.  I have added a ribbon from the Dovecraft range as the card looked a bit bare.  I hope this is okay for this challenge.

Metallic Christmas

Don't get much crafting done with PC being on the blink so I am still using my laptop.  Its time for 'Less is More' Challenge again and I like the idea of the 'Metallic' theme.  I have used a white base card and I have rubbed my silver ink pad all over the edges.  I have added a white layer embossed with a Snowflakes Embossing Folder and a Merry Christmas Embossing Folder. The ribbon is from Dovecraft Range.  I have used a silver foil  baking tray for the Snowflakes and they are cut with a Marianne Creatible Die.

Engagement

My son and his girlfriend announced their engagement last Saturday so I decided to make a special card for them. I have used a white base card with all the elements from my stash. I printed the sentiment form the PC and layered it onto the shapes cut with nesties. I am really pleased at the engagement so I hope they like this card.

Colours of our Nations Flag

I just love these challenges at 'Less is More' and this week it's brilliant. You have to make a card showing the colour of your Nations Flag. Coming from 'Scotland', I have chosen a white base card with a blue organza ribbon from Hobbycraft. The Sentiment and the image are from Woodware 'Scottish Wishes' set. I have had this set for a while and never used it so this was and ideal chance. I have cut the image and the tartan backing paper out with nesties and raised them off the card with sticky pads. Check out Mandi and Chrissie's blogs to see their cards.

So Sweet

White base card with red edge done with a Martha Stewart Punch. The Ribbon is from Poppicrafts. The stamp I bought from someone but not sure where it originates from. I layered it using Nesties and coloured the seeds of the strawberry with Promarkers.
Many thanks to Elizabeth for letting me know that my stamp is from the Magnolia Range.

Wedding Day

I was asked to make this wedding card and was not really sure if this is what they want but I am sure they will tell me if it is not. I think it is quite plain and simple and plenty of white space.
I started with a white base card and added a lilac layer. The sentiments were printed directly onto another layer of white card and I added lilac peel-offs to the corners. The ribbon is from the Fizzy Moon Collection and I have cut the shapes with nesties labels 4 and added some gems.

Black & White

I seem to be struggling with the Less is More challenge as I feel my card needs something else , maybe a sentiment but not sure where to place it. Maybe if I had made a different shaped card it might be better. Enough waffle. White base card with a plain black card layer. Image is from Habico stamped in momento ink and layered onto a silver star embossed card. I have added a white ribbon and bow made with my bowmaker. Not usually successful with it but I think it looks okay. Mandi and Chrissie make some fantastic card and I am certainly not it their league but I am trying!!! LOL!!! Any comments or suggestions would really be appreciated.
