Less is Challenge Week No. 12 - Off Centre

I am really struggling with this one over at the Less is More Challenge this week. The recipe has to be 'Off Centre'. I think I have made my card 'At the Side' instead of 'Off Centre'. LOL!!! might need to give this another go. Anyway the sentiment was done on the PC and the stamp is called 'Harriets Flower'. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and layered if onto a deep yellow card. I have cut all the corners with a woodware corner punch. Mandi & Chrissie give is great challenges every week so get on over to the Simply Less is More Blog and join in with all the fun.

Donated Images **UPDATED**

I was donated some images and asked to make some cards for a new project. Sadly the project did not take off so I was told to keep the images for my own use. I have made these two cards so far and if anyone can tell me who the artists are I would be very much appreciated as these are the only ones I have and I really like them.

These images are from 'DigiDarla' and she sent me this message for anyone to get these free digis. Her facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/digidarla

There are 25 of them!
I got mine today. If you would like to get these for yourself, go to
http://www.getfreedigitalstamps.com very soon. The offer is only
available until midnight May1.

Acetate Tree

Well I decided to give the 'Less is More Acetate Challenge' another go. A few people had done some embossing on acetate so I decided to give it a try. I have used the small Xmas tree embossing folder that was free in the Christmas issue of Docrafts Creativity Magazine. I embossing the acetate and them added some Papermania Gems and a green star gem from my stash. I cut the aperture with a Nellie Snellen Die stuck in embossed acetate in with DST and then added a sheet of white pearlescent paper to the back. The bow with the bell I got from Papermill shop before they closed down. Mandi and Chrissie certainly got me thinking with this weeks challenge and I enjoyed making both my cards. Thanks to both of you for a great
challenge every week.

Teddy

OMG - over at 'Less is More' this week you have to use Acetate. I have had printable acetate for ages and never used it so here we go.!!! I used a white base card and cut the pink edge with Martha Stewart 'Lace Heart' punch. I added a white velvet ribbon down the side. I printed the sentiment [from Doodle Pantry] and the teddy [stored on my PC but don't know where from] directly on to the acetate. I coloured small pieces on the teddy with a Carmine Promarker. I hope this is okay for the challenge for this week. Mandi & Chrissie really got me thinking so I think I might try this again. LOL!!!

New Baby

Well it is time for the 'Less is More' Challenge for this week and I found this quite hard to do even although it looks really simple. I printed the sentiment from the PC and used a cuttlebug folder for the little pram and shaded it pink with chalks. I hope this is okay for the challenge as I was really struggling. Thanks to Mandi & Chrissie for the great challenges every week. Pop over to their own blogs for a look and also to 'Simply Less is More' to join in the fun.

Butterflies

I really enjoyed last week's challenge over at Less is More having to make a DL card so I decided to keep the shape for this week which is to use a Touch of Red. Mandi & Chrissie keep us on our toes each week and it is exciting on a Saturday morning to see what challenge they have in store. Enough of me waffling - here is my card. A cream base card with a Marianne Creatable Butterfly in red with Anitas red gemstones trailing behind. The sentiment was done on the PC and cut with Labels 4 nesties. Pop over to the Simply Less is More Blog and join in the fun each week. I just love it. Thanks Mandi & Chrissie for great challenges.

A few people have been asking about the butterfly. It is a Marianne Creatable Butterfly Die and can be purchased at any stockists selling Marianne Creatable Dies.
