Sympathy

White base card with sentiment printed from PC. I have used an embossing folder and touched up the petals with a buttercup promarker. I have layered this onto a pale yellow card to make it stand out. I am entering this into the Less is More Challenge for this week which is Pastel Colours.
I have taken on board all the comments and added some pearls to the flower centre.
Thanks Mandi & Chrissie for all your advice - I think it looks better now.

Beautiful card Maureen
Can I say I love the black font, I think you had 3 small black gems or pearls in the centres of the flowers, they would pop out more!
Lovely work nonetheless
Thanks very much

Hopping by from do-crafts! How stunning is your card!!

This is really pretty Maureen, I think I would have liked to see the embossed section a little nearer the centre of the card, it seems a trifle pushed into the corner.
I love the PC generated sentiment, that is fab, the eye is taken straight to it!
Thanks for your support and we'll look forward to seeing you next week!

What a beautiful card to receive - given that it will be sent at a difficult time in someone's life, it's certain to be incredibly well received and certainly lift the spirit. Stunning in it's simplicity!

Fabulous! Love the embossing and the touch of yellow. I think some pale yellow pearls in the centre of the flowers would make it pop a bit more but really it`s gorgeous as it is.

These are so pretty Maureen. That font is gorgeous. I must admit, I do think the pearl centres were a good move. It's amazing how much difference a small change can make!

This is a really lovely sympathy card and I personally feel the image is fine where it is because your eyes are drawn to the sentiment and in this type of card that is the most important thing.

Love this card the addition of the perls was spot on too!

Vicky Hayes said...

Such an elegant card! I love the way you added a touch of yellow to your petals and then matted onto yellow. The pearls are a great touch, although I think Mandi's right - black pearls would have linked the flowers to the sentiment.
