Well another week has passed and I just don't seem to be getting the time to make cards these days. I needed to do this one for a Ruby Anniversary coming up so decided to make it for the 'Less is More' challenge this week which is 'Monogram'. I have used a cream pearlescent card with the Monogram and sentiment all computer generated. I have added a wine coloured organza ribbon from Poppicrafts and and wine coloured bow from my stash. I am quite pleased with the way this one turned out. Mandi & Chrissie set out great challenges every week and its a pleasure to join in. They both have fantastic blogs as well and they are well worth a visit.Wednesday, 22 June 2011

In The Frame
Well over at 'Less is More' this week you have to make a card 'In The Frame'. I have had these magnetic stamps for ages and never used dthem so decided to give it a try. There is 2 frames and 10 different inserts. I have inked the frame using a little 'pen' type ink pad with yellow and green and then inked the insert with a brown one. I think it looks a bit squint but this was my first attempt so please forgive me. The sentiment is a rubber stamp I have had for a while as well so inked it up with the same brown ink pen as the centre image. I feel the card looks a bit bare!! What do you think?Saturday, 4 June 2011
Monochrome
Well it is time for another challenge over at Less is More. The challenge this week is Monochrome or Black & White. I chose Purple as my colour and have stamped this image - sorry I don't know what it is as the stamp was donated to me - with Ink It Up [Violet] ink pad. I stamped one image on the card and another slightly off the card. I have added a Lilac butterfly - only because I smudged the ink!!!! LOL!!! I have added 2 Purple gems from my stash to the Butterfly body. The Sentiment was printed from the PC and layered onto a deep purple card both cut with nesties. I added another little lilac gem under the sentiment. I hope I have not put too much on this card. Mandi & Chrissie really get me thinking each week.Pop over to the Less is More Blog for another great challenge.

A Winter's Kiss

Well it is Saturday again and time for this week's Less is More challenge which is a Recipe 'Pick A Square'. I have chosen to go for the centre and used my Marianne Creatable 'Snowflake Die'. I have stuck it down with sticky paps to make it stand out on the card and have added some 'Icicle' Stickles. In the centre I have put a white card candy with a litte bit of Stickles on that too. I printed the sentiment from the PC directly onto the base card. Not sure if the sentiment should have been a bit bigger!!! If you have not tried these challenges get over to the Less is More blog and see what Mandi & Chrissie have for us each week. It's great fun and gets you thinking. I look forward to Saturday mornings to see what they have in store for us.
